The Mei Tai (pronounced "may tie") is an Asian-inspired carrier that can be worn on the front, back, or hip. It has two straps that tie around the waist and two that are worn around the shoulders like a backpack or crossed for more support. A favorite for carrying babies and toddlers, Mei Tais can also be used for newborns as long as their head is properly supported. Mei Tias are also a great choice for dads since they are easier to use than wraps.
