What are the different kinds of carriers? TOP
Wraps A wraparound carrier, or wrap, is simply a long piece of fabric used to carry a baby in many different positions. Wraps are a favorite among experienced baby wearers due to the comfort and variation they offer. It can seem overwhelming at first, but all our wraps come with detailed instructions and you will quickly get the hang of it after a few times.
Stretchy wraps are wraps made out of stretchable fabric, like the jersey knit used to make T-Shirts. Stretchy wraps are generally easier to use than traditional woven wraps and are great for newborns. They can also be used for toddlers, although they must be wrapped tighter than woven wraps to get enough support. Most people prefer to use a different kind of wrap or carrier once their babies are older, bigger and more active.
Ring Sling Ring slings are one of the most well known kinds of baby carriers. They are extremely easy to use, and most people can wear any size, the size just determines how long the tail will be. A favorite carrier for newborns and for nursing while carrying the baby. And the tail can be used as a nursing cover, blanket from the sun or wind, or even a burp cloth in an emergency.
Ring slings can also be used for toddlers, although it can be less comfortable to carry a larger baby for extended periods of time. That being said, ring slings are super easy and quick to take on and off when your little one needs to be held frequently throughout the day. A ring sling is the perfect carrier for those times when you need 15 minutes to finish making lunch or make a phone call and it seems silly to get out the wrap or other carrier. The ease of using a ring sling during these times makes it simpler for people to baby wear when they otherwise might not.
Mei Tai The Mei Tai (pronounced "may tie") is an Asian-inspired carrier that can be worn on the front, back, or hip. It has two straps that tie around the waist and two that are worn around the shoulders like a backpack or crossed for more support. A favorite for carrying babies and toddlers, Mei Tais can also be used for newborns as long as their head is properly supported. Mei Tias are also a great choice for dads since they are easier to use than wraps.
Buckle Carrier Buckle carriers, also sometimes referred to as soft structured carriers, are similar to Mei Tais, but using buckle closers instead of tying the straps. There is no learning curve to these carriers making them the easiest carrier to use. You just buckle them on, adjust the straps, and you’re done. They can be used for front and back carries and are easily adjusted from one wearer to the next. Many dads prefer this style of carrier for the simplicity, ease of use, comfort, and look.

Can I custom order a product that is out of stock? TOP
Yes! We would be more than happy to place a custom order for you! We ask that you allow 4-6 weeks for custom orders to ship, although it is very likely you could have your product sooner. Some brands like Baby Hawk are made to order and it is possible that it could take even more time to receive your carrier. Also, occasionally a specific carrier may be on back order, or even discontinued all together. If this happens, you will be contacted as soon as possible and given the choice to receive a full refund.
